The ERGO Group is consolidating its business fields and sales channels under a strong brand

As part of ERGO‘s strategy progamme the strengths of various business fields and sales channels are being consolidated under the ERGO brand, and to this end the brands ERGO Direkt, ERV und D.A.S. Germany are being transferred into the ERGO brand. Furthermore, ERGO is combining the introduction of a new corporate design with the merging of the brands.

Today’s customers want an insurer that offers a unified customer experience and the security of a strong brand. In order to respond to these customer needs, Germany‘s largest intermediary network and its leading direct insurer are converging under the ERGO brand. The websites of ERGO Direkt and ERGO, which until now have been independent, will be transferred at the beginning of April into the common website www.ergo.de. In this way ERGO will offer its customers an even better range of products and services over all sales channels in one brand: both by personal intermediaries and the telephone, as well as online on digital platforms.

In addition, as already announced last November, the Europäische Reiseversicherung (ERV) will take on the ERGO brand identity step by step both nationally and internationally, and present itself as ERGO Reiseversicherung. In this way the business field of travel should in future also benefit more than in the past from the ERGO brand‘s high profile. In the course of the year the product brand D.A.S. in Germany will also be gradually integrated into ERGO. In this way the business field legal expenses will benefit even more than in the past from the presentation and high profile of the ERGO brand. ”We are bundling our strengths and aligning our business and brand identity strictly according to changed customer needs,“ says ERGO Group Board Member Andree Moschner.

As part of the brand integration ERGO will introduce a fresher corporate design. This consists of many different aspects, such as an updated pictorial language, new design elements and a wide range of fresh colours.

Due to its strong position in the private health insurance market the brand DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung will not be changed.

ERGO and the ver.di tariff commission reach an extensive agreement on the ERGO Strategy Programme (ESP)

Over the past few weeks, ERGO and the ver.di trade union tariff commission have been negotiating a social regulation framework to supplement the ERGO Strategy programme. The agreement, which is subject to the approval of the Group work council, includes a waiver of redundancies due to operational reasons, a location guarantee, the standards of outsourcing measures and an accountability to negotiate a collective agreement for ERGO Direkt employees.
