Work placements

Hands-on learning
Knowledge is fertile ground for successful work. You are living proof of this. What’s most important to us is the professional attitude with which you tackle a task, contribute to a team, and find solutions.

Show us what you can do
You can undertake a work placement at our offices in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich.

Contribute expertise and gain practical knowledge
Academically, you have dedicated yourself to business mathematics or informatics. Or are you passionate about business or law? Either way, your commitment is impressive, as is your thirst for knowledge. Deepen your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting – in the corporate areas most relevant to your course.

The right time for your work placement
We don’t specify a fixed timeframe for your work placement. However, a period of three to six months is ideal if you are to acquire a sound knowledge base. Here we distinguish between:

  • Compulsory work placements from the fourth semester, duration maximum 6 months
  • Voluntary internship from the fourth semester, duration maximum 3 months

Your application
Your application should reach us no later than three to four months before you wish to start your work placement. Please don’t forget to send us your personal resume (CV), a copy of your school-leaving certificate and – if applicable your preliminary degree exam certificate or degree certificate.

Final-year dissertations

Sow knowledge and reap success
The final spurt: you are nearly at the end of your degree course. Now you just have to get through your last seminars and exams – and consolidate the sound position that will get your career off to a flying start. Your dissertation has a special part to play in this context. It addresses an academically relevant issue and provides evidence of your strategic approach and outstanding problem-solving abilities. We find this impressive, and are naturally happy to help. Approach us with a suitable topic.

Topics relevant to ERGO
We, or rather our departments, will supervise your dissertation in combination with a work placement – or on the basis of a work placement you have already completed. You can also apply with a topic that is directly related to our work.

Your contacts on site
Find out in plenty of time about the opportunities we can offer for your dissertation.
