Focus on climate protection

For many years now, ERGO has assumed responsibility for the environment. We actively support climate protection with our climate-neutral business operations. To manage the effects of climate change also lies at the heart of our societal commitment and our initiative “Tackling climate change together”. Climate change already has a noticeable impact on insurance business today.

Together with our parent company Munich Re, we support selected sustainability projects that promote adaptation to climate change and contribute to managing its effects as part of our corporate social responsibility. Within our Company, too, we attach great importance to the protection of the environment and the climate. Step by step, we achieved to make our business operations carbon-neutral by 2015 and continue to work towards further reducing energy consumption and avoiding emissions. A key factor to reach this objective is our audited environmental management system. Our products also take environmental aspects into consideration in order to support customers aiming to protect the environment.
