The coronavirus pandemic has given an enormous boost to digitalisation. During this time, modern technologies enable us to maintain our private lives and business routines as much as possible. The Tech Trend Radar 2020, which has just been published, takes a look at the most important technology trends.

Tech Trend Radar 2020

The Tech Trend Radar has been published annually since 2015 as a joint initiative of Munich Re and ERGO. Since then, the aim of the radar has been to raise awareness of technology trends, stimulate discussion and identify new opportunities. 

This year's report contains 52 trends of strategic and operational relevance for the insurance industry. The trends are categorized in four trend fields: User-centricity, Connected world, artificial intelligence and enabling technologies.

In cooperation with PA Consulting Group and the Institute of Electronic Business, the future trends were collected, aggregated and evaluated to provide a comprehensive overview of technology trends, their maturity and relevance for the Munich Re Group, ERGO and the insurance industry.
