DKV presents Pflege Schutz Paket “PSP”

The need for long-term care – whether due to illness, an accident or age – can present a considerable organisational, psychological and financial challenge for patients and their families. It is a life-defining new situation, and those affected have many questions. Most customers feel daunted by the situation and urgently need a competent source of advice. The new DKV Pflege Schutz Paket “PSP” (Long-Term Nursing Care Protection Package) offers comprehensive advice for policyholders, for their partners and family members – even before the need for long-term nursing care arises. No health check is required for this new policy. The new Pflege Schutz Paket PSP package rounds off DKV’s Care product line.

Should the need for long-term nursing care arise, the policyholder is supported with a comprehensive range of services and contacts to nursing care providers. The product is a combination of several services: From the beginning of the insurance period, and even before long-term nursing care is required, the policyholder is entitled to a range of counselling services; these can be provided by telephone or directly in personal meetings at the policyholder’s home. The package also includes a guaranteed place in a nursing home or access to a nursing service within 24 hours, as well as financial benefits in the form of a one-off payment of 1,000 euros. Offering this unrivalled combination, the product is currently unique on the German market.

The Pflege Schutz Paket PSP includes the following services:

• Guaranteed place in a nursing home or care contract with a nursing service within 24 hours when the policyholder first requires long-term care and every time the level of care needed increases
• Advice for policyholders and relatives (partners, parents, children) by telephone and in person – effective immediately!
• Organisation of essential services and aids (e.g. nursing aids and personal hygiene), relief services for carers (e.g. respite nursing, psychosocial care), domestic help (e.g. pet care), technical aids in the home (e.g. home emergency call system) and billing service.
• One-off payment of €1,000
