How, where and for what do insurers already use AI?

Applications from the field of artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT & Co. are on everyone's lips and, accordingly, also a perennial topic here at //next. How exactly it will develop in the future is still unclear. What is already certain is that hardly any area of life is likely to remain unaffected by AI. This also applies to the insurance and finance industry. The German magazine AssCompact has therefore asked several insurers whether and how they are already using AI - and what it is doing in the company. Of course, we don't want to withhold the answers from you.

This much can already be revealed: All of the insurance companies that AssCompact asked about use artificial intelligence - mostly already in several areas. In summary, the use of AI by insurers is currently primarily about simplifying processes, reducing the workload of employees and improving customer service. But read for yourself (German only):
