How student-friendly is ERGO’s image as an employer? According to a recent study carried out by Potentialpark and Ausbildung.de (an online platform for trainees), we are in a very good Position – ERGO came second in the current ranking.

The numerous digitisation measures taken with regard to recruiting have paid off: Among 125 companies in Germany, ERGO ranks second when it comes to addressing potential trainees. This is the result of a study carried out by the market research institute Potentialpark in cooperation with Ausbildung.de. ERGO is by far the number 1 in the insurance sector.

A survey of around 5,500 students revealed the criteria according to which the companies were examined. Above all, it is important for the students to gain an insight into a company in a professional way. This includes an informative website specifically aimed at students, the option to take part in video calls, chats and digital fairs. The students also attached great importance to hearing the opinions of the employees and the possibility to get an impression of the future workplace via video.

ERGO takes the lead in many of these areas, across all online channels and social media. “We are the first insurance company in Germany to offer digital training fairs”, says Manuela Wilk, Head of Training for the Sales Force. ERGO also plays a pioneering role with its application system by video, which will be launched soon: Artificial intelligence gives the applicants feedback on their performance. Manuela Wilk has even more ideas for the future: “I could imagine a chat bot that answers the most important questions of the students on our website.”
