Unser Umweltmanagement

Nachhaltig mit System

ERGO will den eigenen Beitrag zum Umweltschutz kontinuierlich verbessern. Mit einem gruppenweiten Umweltmanagementsystem entwickeln wir unsere Maßnahmen im gesamten Geschäftsbetrieb daher beständig weiter.

Umweltmanagement

ERGO steuert die konzernweite Umwelt- und Klimaschutzstrategie über ein einheitliches und verbindlich gültiges Umweltmanagementsystem. Der CO2-Fußabdruck unserer Geschäftstätigkeit ist der zentrale Indikator, um die Umweltleistung zu messen und zu bewerten. Wir ermitteln die CO2-Emissionen in einem jährlichen Turnus aus Energie-, Papier- und Wasserverbrauch, Geschäftsreisen und Abfällen. Dies erfolgt standardisiert nach international anerkannten Methoden und Umrechnungsfaktoren.

ERGO has had its own Environmental Guidelines since 2010; they represent our commitment to respecting the environment, protecting the climate and proactively promoting awareness of environmental issues among our employees. It goes without saying that we enforce compliance with environmental protection regulations. Taking environmental aspects in our business operations into consideration is also one of the principles of our group-wide Code of Conduct.

Certification successfully achieved at locations in Germany and abroad

In addition to our group-wide environmental management system, our large locations in Germany and Spain are certified to international standard ISO 14001. The systems at these locations are regularly audited by an independent external environmental auditor. If all the requirements have been complied with, certification is upheld – a continuous process which generates consistent improvement.
