Consultations in virtual reality

New at ERGO

Are you interested in an insurance policy but don't want to take it out online or on the phone because you have too many questions and need detailed advice? But you also don't want to go to the agent or invite him or her to your home? No problem: if you have VR glasses from Meta, you can now get advice from ERGO via those googles!

Consultations in virtual reality

Following VR conferences and VR training courses, ERGO is now also launching consultation meetings with customers in virtual reality: together with Demodern, the insurer has launched the first virtual consultation app with a live dialogue function for insurance products: in the "ERGO VR Experience", interested parties meet with an ERGO advisor using a VR app and headset, who guides them through a chosen setting.

The first application...

...is a mountain environment in 3D, on the basis of which customers are given immersive advice on the insurance solution "travel health insurance" (see picture). The potential risks that can arise during a mountain hike and that need to be covered are explained and visualised. In addition, they can ask further questions about insurance products during the discussion. In addition to the mountain scenario, other use cases are planned, for example from the areas of city trips, skiing holidays or beach holidays. In addition, the app is to be successively equipped with further visual assets and insurance solutions such as travel cancellation or luggage insurance.

“ERGO’s VR application offers an innovative service involving personal advice provided in a virtual arena. Immersive storytelling and infotainment take the quality of advice to a whole new level.”

Alexander El-Meligi, Demodern

Your own VR googles...

...from Meta are required for the consultation. Interested parties will receive the download link to the app in the Meta Quest Store after successfully booking an appointment. This can now be done free of charge at ergo.de/vr-beratung

Note: Anyone who would like to test the app themselves will have the opportunity to do so at Düsseldorf Airport between 12 and 15 June. ERGO will have a stand at Terminal A during this period. Here, interested parties can try out the application on weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm.
