ERGO Group AG and the German Football Association (DFB) are continuing their successful partnership: the collaboration, which has been in place since 2016, is being extended for another four years. ERGO remains the "Official Insurance Partner of the DFB" while simultaneously increasing its engagement in various growth sectors of football - particularly with regard to women's football, eSports, and digital platforms.

Accordingly, the expanded partnership will henceforth focus not only on the men's national teams and the DFB Cup, but also - and with particular emphasis - on an increased presence surrounding the women's national team, the U23 women's national team, and the Women's DFB Cup.

Engagement in the field of eSports is also being expanded: alongside the DFB-ePokal, future efforts will center on additional national eSports competitions and the eNational Team. Furthermore, ERGO is extending its presence within the DFB's growing digital ecosystem and will collaborate with the DFB on the development and expansion of virtual immersive experiences.

With an eye on upcoming tournaments, the partnership with the national teams - in particular - continues to gain significance on an international stage. The football calendar features - among other events - the 2026 Men's World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico; the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil; the 2030 Men's World Cup across six host nations; the 2028 Men's European Championship in Great Britain and Ireland; and the 2029 Women's European Championship hosted in Germany. This home tournament, in particular, will provide a unique platform for women's football in Germany, further accelerating its dynamic growth trajectory.

For us, the partnership with the DFB represents a commitment to values such as fairness, diversity, team spirit, and internationalism - both on and off the pitch. We believe in the unifying power of football - including in innovative digital formats that are increasingly captivating fans. We are continuing this collaborative commitment with great conviction.

Dr. Oliver Martin Willmes Chair of the Board of Management of ERGO Deutschland AG

The contract extension with ERGO sends a strong signal of continuity and mutual growth. ERGO contributes through creative - and often humorous - campaigns that seamlessly translate their own corporate values into the specific context of our national teams and the everyday world of football. At the same time, the collaboration thrives on our ability to leverage the full spectrum of our platforms - ranging from special moments on the pitch, the DFB-Pokal, and the ePokal, to formats such as the ‘Pokaltour’ as well as various virtual offerings. It is precisely this mix that makes the partnership so valuable: together, we reach diverse target groups and consistently create new ways for people to engage with football. We intend to strategically build upon this strength - particularly in forward-looking areas such as women's football, eSports, and digital formats

Dr. Holger Blask DFB General Secretary and Chairman of the Management Board of DFB GmbH & Co. KG

The partnership thus prioritizes continuity while simultaneously focusing on targeted expansions in areas with particular potential for growth—ensuring a strong impact both in the everyday sporting landscape and within new digital formats.
