The new “My DKV” app

DKV continues to drive the digitalisation of healthcare.

New DKV app

With its one-app strategy, DKV combines electronic health records, e prescriptions and other service functions in a single application.

DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG (DKV) is the first private health insurer in Germany to integrate all digital healthcare services – including electronic health records (ePAs) and e prescriptions – in a single app. The previous “My DKV” app was fundamentally overhauled as part of a one-app strategy, with the new version rolling out in December 2025.

More than 650,000 policyholders have already used the multi-award-winning previous version of the app. The new version stands out with its comprehensive range of features, intuitive user guidance, modern design, and compliance with the highest data protection standards.

Holistic health management – secure, digital, mobile

The “My DKV” app now offers policyholders not only the opportunity to manage everything to do with their insurance and health 24/7 using the DKV services on the app, but also to utilise all digital health services: from accessing doctors’ reports and medication plans in their ePA to redeeming e prescriptions and securely exchanging documents with doctors and pharmacists.

DKV ensures maximum data security through state-of-the-art encryption technologies, two-factor authentication, and regular security analyses and updates.

We deliberately opted for a one-app strategy in order to offer our customers all innovative services from a single source, in one place – and in keeping with our goal to make insurance simpler. With the new ‘My DKV’ app, we are setting new standards in digital healthcare from private health insurers. The app shows how we are actively and responsibly shaping digitalisation.

Our new app forms the core of a networked health platform that offers our customers real added value. It stands for simple, secure and modern interactions – and demonstrates how we are consistently enhancing our performance and service quality through digitalisation and automation.

Tech partnership with IBM

The one-app strategy was implemented in close cooperation with tech partner IBM. The focus: on developing an innovative, future-proof and secure app infrastructure.

“Together with DKV, we have created an innovative platform that makes health a digital, secure, and user-friendly experience,” says Nilüfer Caliskan Keserci, Senior Partner Leader Health Insurance DACH at IBM Consulting.

The new “My DKV” app can be downloaded from the App Store and the Google Play Store. You can find more information at www.dkv.com/App.
