Football World Cup: Team ERGO kicks off!

Team ERGO kicks off – and we wish the German National Team the best of luck as they start their World Cup journey! Here’s to an exciting tournament, a special time that brings people together all around the globe, and lots of fun for all of us watching the games.
AAs the insurance partner of the German Football Association (DFB), we are delighted to be supporting the men’s national team and are looking forward to many exciting matches and shared football moments throughout the tournament.
The opening ceremony kicks off today at 7.30 pm German time at the Azteca Stadium, featuring performances by Shakira and the band Maná, among others.
At 9 pm German time, co-hosts Mexico will face South Africa in the opening match.
The German national team will play their first match on Sunday, 14 June 2026, at 7 pm German time in Houston against Curaçao. We’re already looking forward to cheering them on and sharing in the excitement!
