How women shape careers at ERGO
Ursula Clara Deschka, how did you start your career?
After completing my International Business Administration studies at the University of Vienna, I worked at Allianz for 16 years: From trainee to sales director and divisional director. In 2017, I moved to ERGO. At first, I was responsible for the services board department at ERGO Direkt in Nuremberg. In addition, I was tasked with intensifying collaboration between agencies and direct sales at EBV. I was a member of the board of ERGO Germany, Chairwoman of the Board of Management of ERGO Krankenversicherung AG and a member of the Board of Management of DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG since 2020. From 2023 forward, I am the CEO of ERGO in the Baltic countries.
As CEO of ERGO Baltics, I am responsible for the ERGO entities in the three countries Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Do you have a personal motto that inspires and spurs you on?
Setting goals is the first step to achieve them.
How do you manage to balance a demanding job and your private life?
Life has many facets – work is just one of them. My advice: Don’t forget to pursue your passions. It doesn’t matter if it’s sports, culture or a relaxing evening with friends or family. It gives you strength and energy!
