ERGO’s new commercial liability insurance provides cover with extensive benefits and is designed to be simple and easy to understand. As for the sum insured, customers can choose from three options: three, five or ten million euros. “Customer satisfaction and reduced complexity were our main focus as we designed the product, having asked our customers directly what they wanted from it,” explains Mathias Scheuber, Chairman of the Board of Management at ERGO Versicherung AG. Using an iterative process, the product concept was adapted to accommodate more and more survey responses. “This approach ensured that our product really does meet our customers’ needs. Above all else, they wanted cover they could easily understand and that was simple to conclude,” he adds.

Extensive benefits and add-ons

A highlight of the new commercial liability insurance is its terms and conditions. They contain extensive benefits specially tailored to the liability risks faced by the “high street” target group, which includes artisan food outlets, hospitality, shops, hairdressers, offices, trade and repair businesses. The comprehensive cover includes damage to rented property and loss of keys, product liability as well as a retention of benefits and innovation guarantee. Owing to the host of improved benefits it provides, the new commercial liability insurance is extremely competitive. As add-ons to the product lines offered, customers can also choose private liability insurance (insured sum of 50 million euros, cover for bad debt losses, key loss) and cover for environmental risks.

Fully comprehensive cover includes innovation guarantee

The best insurance policies offer innovation guarantees, and ERGO’s fully comprehensive cover is no exception. This means that when new terms and conditions with improved benefits are introduced, they will also apply to existing policies. “In addition to that, we’ve dramatically reduced the coverage-specific deductibles and sublimits. In the interest of greater customer satisfaction and efficiency, we’ve upped our level of automatic processing considerably and optimised the process for taking out policies. Thanks to this modern product structure, its takes fewer questions and clicks to get suitable insurance cover,” explains Christian Hurtmann, Head of Liability, Individual Business at ERGO Versicherung AG.
