German Cup quarter-finals: Four days of non-stop thrills

Magazine, 31.01.2023

For the very first time, all the quarter-final matches in the German Cup competition (in Ger-man: DFB-Pokal) will be played on just four days. In short, thrills and suspense are guaran-teed.

Two matches will be played on each of the following dates: 31 January, 1 February, 7 February and 8 February. In Germany, ARD and ZDF will broadcast the following matches live: the duel between Mainz 05 and Bayern Munich; a local derby featuring Eintracht Frankfurt and Darmstadt 98; and a Ruhr district clash, VfL Bochum versus Borussia Dortmund (see below for dates). Electronic perimeter boards on the sidelines will once again draw attention to ERGO as the sponsor.

ERGO match-ball carriers will kelp kick things off

As is customary prior to each contest, an ERGO match-ball kid wearing a red jersey will carry the ball onto the pitch. The match-ball carriers, who are aged between 8 and 12, won their special on-pitch moments on the websites of ERGO sales partners. Many sales partners will once again host customers and prospects at the stadiums – hopefully providing them with some unforgettable German Cup memories.
