Our fields of action
Responsible business practices
In our business, the environment we work in is becoming ever more complex and new risks are arising all the time. Digitalisation and the impact of climate change present particular challenges, but also open up new business opportunities.
Active promotion of our employees, creating scope for getting the work-life balance right and protecting their health enables us to empower diversity within our Company. This potential forms a valuable platform for our success.
For many years now, ERGO and its Group companies have considered protecting the environment an integral element of their corporate social responsibility. We are constantly working to avoid or reduce emissions from our business operations.
As a company acutely aware of its social responsibility, we want to make tangible contributions to resolving problems in society. We do this by helping people on the ground in a number of countries, working with a wide range of issues.
ERGO places great value on good corporate governance and an effective compliance system. Find out here how ERGO adheres to statutory and company regulations and minimises risks.
As part of the Munich Re Group, ERGO is included in the non-financial statement in the Munich Re Group Annual Report and hence exempted from issuing its own non-financial statement. Additional information on the joint implementation of sustainability targets in the year under review can be found in Munich Re’s Annual Report.
ERGO is expressly committed to respecting and upholding human rights in accordance with international standards. We take our corresponding due diligence obligations seriously and have established processes to identify possible risks of human rights being impaired and to manage them with appropriate measures.
Transparency about aspects of the sustainability of our products and the underlying investment decision-making processes – also in the context of investment and insurance consulting – is of particular concern to us. In accordance with EU Disclosure Regulation, we have therefore summarised all the necessary information for our clients.
How can we capture experience in our organisations with the help of AI? Our new whitepaper has the answer! 🤖
Today, a large share of business‑critical know‑how still lives in day‑to‑day decisions, routines and conversations. As experienced colleagues retire or change roles, organisations are challenged to rethink how they preserve, share and grow their knowledge – so that lived expertise is captured and developed further instead of fading away quietly.
Our new report “From Tribal Knowledge to Self‑Evolving Agents – Capturing, Governing, and Scaling Institutional Knowledge in Financial Enterprises” explores how self‑evolving AI agents can support this transition.
Wildfires are becoming a critical management challenge for companies.
From California to southern Europe, wildfires have shifted from a distant concern to a tangible threat. They now represent a material risk for industrial and logistics locations worldwide.
In their interview with ERGO //radar, wildfire experts Sarah Reuter and Sebastian Kempka from KA Köln.Assekuranz outline why businesses must progress from mere awareness to concrete action – and how focused risk assessments and protective measures can significantly strengthen resilience. KA Köln.Assekuranz, a wholly owned ERGO subsidiary, operates as an intermediary between industrial clients and insurers.
