About the project

Our climate is changing. The consequences – such as rising temperatures and extreme weather events – affect us all. We need to address this.

Munich Re and ERGO have extensive expertise and have developed solutions aimed at adjusting to climate change and mitigating its consequences. Tackling these challenges together with partners is a key component of the Group’s corporate responsibility strategy.

Climate change – A focal topic for Munich Re

Climate change and its effects have been a focal topic for Munich Re for some four decades now. This has led to a holistic climate strategy with the dimensions risk measurement, insurance solutions and asset management.
