3 Advanced training days of salaried and self-employed field staff. Figures include central advanced training programmes organised by ERGO as well as decentral trainings within the scope of the “Good advice” initiative of the German Insurance Association and its Code of Conduct for sales of insurance products.
4 The higher number of training days in 2017 and 2016 is mainly due to the mandatory training for consulting on securities.

Notes on the key figures:

We are steadily expanding collection of employee key figures to increase their coverage and improve their significance. The expansion of the data collection has led in part to retroactive changes in the key figures. Due to the increased data quality, some data (e.g. employees according to function) is only comparable to a limited degree with the figures from previous years.

Companies of Munich Health were transferred to ERGO International in 2017. These figures are included in the key employee figures since 2018. For a comprehensive overview of all employees of Munich Re (Group), please refer to the employee key figures on www.munichre.com.
