Johnson wird Chief Technology Officer im Vorstand der ERGO Group

Der Aufsichtsrat der ERGO Group AG hat Robin Johnson (55) mit Wirkung vom 17. März 2023 zum Vorstandsmitglied für Informationstechnologie und Chief Technology Officer der ERGO Group berufen. Johnson leitet bereits seit 2017 die IT von Munich Re und MEAG. Er wird zudem Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der ERGO Technology and Services Management AG (ET&SM). Tomasz Smaczny bleibt Vorstandsvorsitzender der ET&SM AG und berichtet in dieser Funktion zukünftig an Johnson.

Die IT aller Konzernteile der Munich Re Gruppe befindet sich in einer andauernden Transformation. Während die Veränderungen in den letzten Jahren in der Rückversicherung (inkl. MEAG) und bei ERGO separat vorangetrieben wurden, gab es bereits einzelne Projekte, die ein übergreifendes Vorgehen der IT aller Geschäftsbereiche des Munich Re Konzerns erforderlich machten. „In diesen Projekten haben sich die Vorteile einer konzernübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit klar bestätigt“, unterstreicht Markus Rieß, CEO ERGO Group und Mitglied des Vorstands von Munich Re.

Jurecka (43), the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ERGO Group AG, was appointed as CFO of Munich Re's Board of Management by the Supervisory Board in July 2018.

Oliver Willmes takes over as Chairman of the Board of ERGO International AG

Subject to the approval of the appropriate Supervisory Authorities, Oliver Willmes will take over the position as Chairman of the Board of ERGO International AG as from 1 October. Alexander Ankel, the current Chairman of the Board of ERGO International AG, will continue to be a member of supervisory boards and act as a consultant for ERGO.
