Heiko Stüber appointed as CFO of ERGO Group AG

The Supervisory Board of ERGO Group AG today appointed Heiko Stüber (49) to the Board of Management of ERGO Group AG as the successor to Christoph Jurecka with effect from 1st January 2019. Jurecka (43), the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ERGO Group AG, was appointed as CFO of Munich Re's Board of Management by the Supervisory Board in July 2018.

From 1st January 2019 Heiko Stüber will be responsible for accounting, taxes, planning and controlling, risk management, corporate finance and actuarial reserving. He succeeds Christoph Jurecka, who will join Munich Re as CFO at the turn of the year. Stüber has been Head of Group Accounting and Controlling at ERGO for more than six years. He has international experience and extensive knowledge of the financial sector. After graduating in business studies he worked for AXA and KPMG before joining ERGO in 2011.

Harald Christ (45), Chairman of ERGO Beratung und Vertrieb AG (EBV) and member of the Board of Management of ERGO Deutschland AG, is resigning at his own request and in mutual amicable agreement on 31.12.2017. Olaf Bläser (48), member of the ERGO Beratung und Vertrieb AG Board of Management, will be assuming the chairmanship of the board and will also be succeeding Harald Christ as member of the Board of Management of ERGO Deutschland AG.
