We have made a firm place for our corporate responsibility in our mission and vision. Our stated objective is to generate harmony between the various aspects of our work - our business, our planet, our employees and our society.

We reflect our sense of our responsibility and our forward-looking business practices right across the range of insurance solutions we provide. Upholding sustainability is what our business, at its core, is all about.
We invest the capital entrusted to us with care and place top priority on responsible corporate governance. We achieve this by committing to important ethical standards.

We care for our planet.

For years now, we have considered protecting the environment and the climate as an integral part of our corporate responsibility. We are committed to preserving for future generations the natural resources on which we all depend.
Our certified environmental management systems are taking us continuously in the right direction. We are reducing our energy consumption all the time and we take care to save resources.
We are moving step by step towards our objective of becoming carbon-neutral across the whole ERGO Group by the end of the year 2015.

Our involvement in social and community projects focuses on supporting children and young people and promoting up-and-coming talent; in all we do in these fields, we seek to give these young people a new perspective, inspiring them to take control of their lives and look to their future with confidence.
We target our support to the following areas: science and education; health and sports; music; and community projects.
The charitable ERGO “Youth & Future” foundation supports disadvantaged children and young people. The independent charitable association “ergo: wir helfen”, run by our German employees, provides specific support to children in need.
