Close cooperation in the areas of travel preparations, risk information clarification and travel coverinsurance – cComprehensive information kits packets for customers and partners
Customers and counter staff are already profiting from the comprehensivebined travel protection competence of ERV, the ERGO travel insurer, and the Centrum für Reisemedizin (CRM), a centre for travel medicine. The goal is to combine the knowledge in the areas of safety and health when travelling that exists in the two companies and make this knowledge accessible to customers and partners through the respective separate communication channels.
ERV, as the market leader in all aspects of travel protection, has decades of experience in providing assistance during trips. Precise knowledge of the medical care in the world's holiday regions and a practiced team of doctors experienced in travel medicine contribute to providing the customer with optimal care in the event of an emergency while on holiday.
Iris Spiering, Assistance Coordinator at ERV, has frequently seen, however, that better holiday preparation, particularly in exotic regions, could have prevented a number of emergencies: "This is where our new cooperation with CRM starts. CRM has specialized in compiling relevant, up-to-date information on all regions around the world. In the future, we are going to make this information more easily accessible for our customers so that they can be well-informed and prepared and can enjoy the best time of the year."
The competence team with members from ERV and CRM will compile information kitspackets on various aspects of "Safety while travelling". These packets will include current information on necessary vaccinationsimmunizations and what to include in the first-aid kit, as well as information on travel cover and return transport in the event of illness or injury. ERV and CRM will provide these packets to the respective customers and partners through flyers and mailings, as well as on the www.erv.comde and www.crm.de websites.
As an information service provider in matters of travel medicine for doctors, pharmacists and interested private persons, CRM has been one of the top names in Germany for years. Lothar Münnix, Managing Director from CRM comments: "We want to strengthen our offer in tourism and among travelers through the cooperation with ERV. Day-to-day experience furthermore shows us that the important topic of foreign travel health insurance for abroad has unfortunately not yet sufficiently reached penetrated to our target groups to date. We would like to use ERV's competence as market leader in the travel insurance area here to heighten awareness of this topic.”
The competence team has already compiled the first information flyer on the topic "Foreign travel Hhealth insurance for abroad", which CRM will be distributing to doctors and pharmacies throughout Germany.
