Mark Klein is to become Chief Digital Officer of ERGO Digital Ventures AG, the new digital division of ERGO Group AG, Düsseldorf, as from 1 September 2016. The 44-year-old was previously Board Chairman of T-Mobile Netherlands B.V.
Klein’s main duty will be to oversee the digital transformation of ERGO’s traditional lines of business both at home and abroad as well as setting up new digital business models.
Under the roof of ERGO Group AG, ERGO Digital Ventures AG is responsible for all digital and direct activities of the Group including the subsidiary ERGO Direkt. The company will act as the driving force for innovation and digital transformation. By separating the company from traditional business and putting the management focus on digital business, the goal is to make it easier to implement new ideas quickly. Taking advantage of digital opportunities will enable ERGO Digital Ventures to achieve synergy effects. By placing all direct and digital activities under one roof, ERGO is consistently pursuing its own new path in the insurance industry.

Klein served most recently as Board Chairman of T-Mobile Netherlands B.V. He was previously in charge of Marketing, Sales and Digitalisation Activities for all European shareholdings of Deutsche Telekom AG outside of Germany.
