Press release 28 April 2016
VORSORGE Luxemburg Lebensversicherung – a subsidiary of ERGO Group – adds to its portfolio a long-term care insurance pension against single premium for customers in Germany. The customer individually and flexibly determines the amount and scope of support in case of need for care. The insurance is based on a capital market investment concept, thus offering a possible additional increase of the guaranteed pension.
Even in the middle years of life, it is possible to provide for nursing case care. With the new VORSORGE CarePension plus, the customer individually determines up to which amount a guaranteed monthly pension will be paid in a case of need for care. The pension is set up with a single premium of a minimum 10.000 Euros. In addition, it is possible to decide whether the care levels 1-3, just level 3 or also care level 0 shall be insured. Moreover, for each care level a different monthly pension rate may be agreed. The pension can absorb part of the high costs of long-term care, whether the customer is cared for at home or in inpatient care. The insurer invests the single premium in the capital market. Depending on the performance of the investment concept, the monthly pension may increase.
Further flexible options are a one-off payment when nursing care is first needed to cover higher initial costs. A later additional pension increase can also be arranged, e.g. if the family situation changes. Part or full termination of the contract is possible.
Frank Wittholt, member of the VORSORGE Lebensversicherung Management Board: “The new CarePension plus offers a lot of advantages to customers in Germany aged 40+ who want to minimize their worries regarding long-term care provision in an instant. This product is the right choice for people who want a guaranteed pension and an option to profit from possible return chances.”
