Dr. Dr. Michael Fauser and Dr. Max Happacher were appointed to the Board of ERGO Lebensversicherung with effect from 1 May 2016. Dr. Johannes Lörper has announced his retirement at the end of 2016.
Fauser (51) will become the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of ERGO Lebensversicherung AG. He will be responsible for Products and Mathematics. Fauser will also join the Management Boards of life insurer Victoria Lebensversicherung AG, retirement fund ERGO Pensionskasse AG and health insurer DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG. The business mathematician has abundant experience in all business fields of insurance, most notably in life insurance. Among his career stations were Allianz Life Insurance, reinsurer Frankona Re, Cosmos Direkt as well as Continentale, where Fauser is currently on the Management Board responsible for life insurance.
Happacher (47) has been appointed to the Management Boards of ERGO Lebensversicherung AG, Victoria Lebensversicherung AG and ERGO Pensionskasse AG. He will be responsible for Portfolio Management and Corporate Product Policy. The business mathematician Happacher, too, has vast experience in all business fields of insurance, focusing on life insurance. He has been working for Allianz since 1997. Happacher is currently Chief Actuary at Allianz Germany and Board member at the retirement fund Allianz Pensionskasse.
Dr. Clemens Muth who is in charge of Personal Lines Business on the Board of Management of the ERGO Insurance Group, comments: „In Dr. Fauser, we acquired a renowned and profound expert of our industry for ERGO. Dr. Happacher completes the new management team in life insurance with his experience in several finance and management functions, also on an international level. I am very much looking forward to working with them.“
Lörper (62) has announced his retirement at the end of 2016. Lörper is currently a Board member at ERGO Lebensversicherung AG, Victoria Lebensversicherung AG, ERGO Pensionskasse AG and DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG. He has been serving on several Boards in the ERGO Insurance Group since 2002.
