How did you start your career?
“I joined ERGO Greece in 2011 as a Human Resources Executive and in 2014, I became head of the HR Department. My prior working experience was in the HR and business efficiency management fields in the financial sector. I hold a BSc degree in Economics from the National University of Athens and an MSc Degree in Management with Human Resources specialization from University of Bath (UK).”
What gives you energy at work? What inspires and motivates you?
“I am inspired by our purpose "to engage with everything we have and are to help humankind act braver and better" and energized by challenges that the business environment brings and by our people that thrive when they release their full potential.”
What was the greatest benefit that you have so far drawn from one of your networks?
“Intellectual stimulation: New perspectives and ideas. Exchanging experiences, discussing and challenging concepts and information that allowed me to gain new insights when I struggled with a decision, a challenge or a new direction.”
What advice can you give women on their way to management positions?
“Demonstrate that you are up for the challenge and make your aspirations known. Do not let perfect get in the way of really good. Cultivate relationships with people you respect and admire. Ask for feedback and do something with that. Learn how and when to say no, delegate and set appropriate expectations. Make sure to enjoy what you are doing!”
