Vacancies, application, selection process and interview

Are vacancies posted at Positions available at ERGO up to date?

Yes, as soon as a vacancy is filled the vacancy announcement is automatically deleted from the website.

Should I apply online or in written form?

You can apply either online or in writing. We recommend completing the online application. It’s quick and easy.

When can I expect a response to my application?

As soon as we receive your documents we will send you a confirmation mail. However, the processing time cannot be determined down to the day. Your application is important to us and will be read and evaluated carefully by various people and departments. Please understand that this process may take some time.

How does the selection process work?

After considering all the documents we receive, we pre-select an initial group of candidates each of whom we then invite to a preliminary interview. The candidates who impress us are invited back for a second interview. Finally, we make an offer to the candidate most suited for the position from both a professional and personal standpoint.

How is the interview structured and what should I bear in mind?

As a potential candidate you will most likely talk to a Human Resources representative and the supervisor of the relevant department. This will give you an opportunity to reinforce our positive first impression with your conscientious preparation and open, friendly and authentic manner. Additionally, you will have a chance to ask us questions, for example about your duties, your prospects and the company. For us the interview presents an opportunity to find out more about your prior experience and your reasons for applying.

Do you take over the travel expenses for the interview?

Yes, provided you travel with Deutsche Bahn Germany Railways (second class). Please consult with us first should you plan to use an alternate method of transportation.
