Advocating better health and performance through sport is one aspect of ERGO’s commitment to social issues. We support projects that highlight health education.
'Klasse in Sport'
ERGO is participating in the initiative 'Klasse in Sport' (translates as 'great in sports') which gives 26 primary schools in Germany the opportunity to have qualified and daily physical education classes.
School sport promotes demonstrably the physical and cognitive development of children. ERGO has adopted the sponsorship for the first time in the school year 2011/2012.

'DKV Brückenlauf'
The ‘DKV Brückenlauf’ (DKV Bridge Run) in Cologne is an important event that supports this goal. In recent years, ERGO employees have used the Bridge Run as their own personal charity run. For every kilometre they ran, ERGO donated 1 euros to a social work project.

Mobile mammography buses
ERGO Hestia in Poland and ERGO Estonia actively support prevention and information campaigns, for example, on the issue of breast cancer. With so-called "mammobuses", they want to inform women on early detection options. The buses are driving through the country and visitors can undergo free screening. The prevention activities will be accompanied by an information campaign.
