At the Insurance Industry Education Congress in Berlin, the “InnoWard” – the insurance industry's education prize, whose patron is Federal Economics Minister Peter Altmaier – was awarded for the 15th time yesterday. ERGO Group AG, represented by its projects “transformation@ergo – fit for the new world of work” and “Fit for Life – Health management for sales trainees”, was one of the companies nominated by the jury and won second place in the category “Personnel Development / Qualification" and third place in the category “Initial Vocational Training”.

InnoWard

The InnoWard prizes are awarded annually to outstandingly innovative projects in the field of insurance education, and this year two prizes went to ERGO: Based on a joint initiative set up by the employer and employee representatives, ERGO’s “transformation@ergo – fit for the new world of work” project is a comprehensive further training programme that aims to build skills and empower employees to cope with digital transformation. With a wide range of formats, measures and learning opportunities, the programme enables employees to actively engage with changing framework conditions, expand their skills in specific fields and experiment with new approaches. ERGO took second place in the category "Personnel Development / Qualification” for the “transformation@ergo” project.

The second winning project examines in cooperation with BIG direkt gesund the question of what apprentices can do now to remain healthy in the future, and what an enterprise can do to help their trainees. The answer is a group of measures comprised of a virtual health platform, challenges with prizes for the winners, workshops on the topics of “Health and Exercise” and “Stress and Addiction”, and appointing apprentices to be health ambassadors. The “Fit for Life” scheme won ERGO third place in the category “Initial Vocational Training”.
